The communication between the ERP and MES to and from the DataMagnet is either do by OPC UA or by Web services.
What data that’s needs to be logged is usually determined by the PLC-programmer and is done by parameterize the delivered function blocks. When the parameterization is finished all the specified data is logged. For older systems is necessary to enable pull/get in the PLC’s for allowing the DataMagnet to fetch the data.
